I. Unboxing
Let's start something different this time.
Since ALPHA Model has released their first 1/43 scale resin model, I think it is appropriate that I unbox it.
The kit comes nicely packed in a small box, but with big contents. As usual with Alpha Model, this is a full detail resin and PE kit with tons of details.
The quality of the resin casts is amazing for its size. The only thing I noticed are some small flashes on the rims, but nothing that can't be fixed easily.
The details on the big resin parts is amazing, and it is hard to believe they have managed to put all this detail onto 1/43 scale.
Also the PE parts are very detailed and thin. In the box there are also decals to depict carbon fibre parts, and they look very nicely scaled.
II. Interior
To add some pop to the tiny model, I have decided for a bold two-tone interior combination. Therefore all the interior parts were painted with AMMO by Mig Jimenez ATOM Semi Gloss Black and Ocean Blue colors supplied by Back To Basics.
After the paint had dried, I started to add the excellently scaled carbon decals on the seats and the red stitching decals to the dash and the seats.
To start the assembly process, I have assembled the door cards, and then mounted the seats to the tub. I have also added some contrasting red seat belts for even more detail. After that the rest was put in place only for photos, since as with 1/24 scale models from ALPHA Model, most of the interior has to be attached directly to the body.
I am still amazed how ALPHA Model l managed to put so many details in this really tiny kit. For example, the seat belts are only 1.2mm wide, and all the photos need to be taken with a macro lens in order to see all the details..
