Have you encountered challenges when working on your car shell, such as uneven side skirts, shallow panel lines, or unsatisfactory results after sanding? These details may test your patience, but overcoming these small challenges is what makes our model creations unique and captivating.
To help you tackle these issues with ease, we’ve put together some key tips for perfecting your car shell:
1. Precise Sanding for a Perfect Surface
Carefully inspect each part of the car shell, especially the side skirts. If you find any uneven areas, lightly sand them down to ensure a smooth surface, laying a solid foundation for deepening the panel lines.
2. Deepening Panel Lines for Added Depth
To give your model more dimension, we recommend using a 0.15mm scriber to deepen the panel lines. Start light and gradually increase pressure, particularly around curves where extra care is needed.
3. Fine Sanding for a Smooth Finish
Work your way through different grades of sandpaper until the surface of the car shell is smooth and free of scratches, creating the ideal base for painting.
